Welcome to the Bridgeport Republican Town Committee Website
Our primary responsibility is to recruit and support candidates to run for state and local office. In addition, we as Republican Town Committee (RTC) members work collectively to raise funds for the RTC, volunteer during election season, and promote a Republican agenda of fiscal responsibility, limited government, quality schools, etc.
Our meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month, at 6:30 p.m. at the North End Library. Our meetings are open to registered Republicans.
Please check back as often as possible as we will continually add new content to this site. Finally, be sure to like us on Facebook.
Bridgeport Republican Town Committee Chairman
According to Jim Himes, “If I hear one consistent message from local businesses about how we can help them expand and create more jobs, it is that we must improve our infrastructure.”- http://himes.house.gov/issue/economy-and-jobs
I interact with hundreds of business owners every week. In all honesty, Jim Himes couldn’t be further from the truth. Business owners do have a consistent message to the Congressman pertaining to expanding and creating more jobs and its simple, “Lower my taxes and stop over regulating me”. Business owners all over CT are feeling the pain everyday of high gas prices, high energy costs, high income tax rates and high corporate tax rates… All of which result in zero to low job creation and high unemployment. Simply put, taxes and regulations create high unemployment which leads to a bad economy. The congressman has been elected by the people of the 4th Congressional district for a 4th term. Over the course of the next year, I am anxious to see how the Congressman will address these issues. If he truly believes paving roads, building bridges, and funding new train stations are the answer then I can assure you that taxes will continue to rise and the unemployed will remain unemployed. “
